Learning through stories (part 13) - Out and about

On the move: Waiting at the bus stop or travelling on a bus or train are perfect times to look at a colourful storybook with your baby. It's a good idea to carry a book with you when you're away from home, or simply make up a story about your journey. Try adding in the people and places you see along the way. The story can be as silly as you like or quite simple, either way your baby will simply love to listen to your voice.

In the car: Audio books come into their own on car journeys with babies, toddlers and children. Or you could record yourself reading a story and play this while travelling.
